This unit allows students the opportunity to develop work across a range of disciplines and subject specialisms within the contemporary world of textiles and beyond through self-directed projects, live briefs, competitions, or commissions. Some of these students will be working collaboratively on outward facing projects at a national and international level with companies such as Hallmark Uk & Crown Paints UK. The development components which will make up the final body of work will include: Sketchbooks, research files, drawing, design development, sampling, technical folder, final pieces of work or collections. Students will submit a physical and digital submission as part of their unit x submission.
