A printed and online essay commissioned to mark the opening of Steffi Klenz's exhibition "Steffi Klenz: Concrete Thinking" at Sid Motion Gallery in London, Summer 2022.
The essay explores Klenz's multiplication of space through installation and a mixture of photographic and artificial surfaces, which speaks not to referentiality but to the image's capacity to bring about or figure worlds and spaces.
