'DREAM VISIONS' SERIES BY SUE FOX.
For the past four decades, Sue Fox has been recording her dreams to decode her unconscious mind and explore the imaginary and the illusive with AI since 2023. Her investigations delve into Jungian animus and Freudian symbolism, using highly descriptive and poetic prompts that become more refined through continuous editing and calibrating. These images conjure strange, uncanny forces that are both alien and sometimes endearing, creating otherworldly, primordial, and unnerving art forms. They challenge our understanding of deep dream analysis and fantasy. Fox particularly enjoys crafting rendered images with glitches, where elements appear as 'if by magic' or in a dream. Her work features odd characters and animals, hybrid beings, and strange objects that hint at new, fantastical worlds beyond our commonplace reality. Dreams are symbolic by nature, sharing universal signs that people recognize and share. These images speak to subtle layers of the collective psyche, drawing viewers into the inner labyrinth of the dreamer's mind. Fox navigates unknown psychic vistas, casting a mystical eye on hidden and repressed feelings, alchemizing them through her silent witnessing and ritualistic art practice.
