This group show will explore the idea of 'Ventriloquism', drawing upon data harvesting, hyperreality, forgotten histories, misinformation, gaslighting, mediation, and artificial intelligence. The works will be displayed across the galleries and placed amongst the museum collections.
Featuring over twenty-five artists working with a diverse range of media from AI to installation and painting, the works on display seek to resonate and draw out critical, playful, and insightful narratives to reveal how information is mediated via algorithms and how these act, or speak, on our behalf.

The Brass Art group comprising Chara Lewis, Kristin Mojsiewicz Anneke Pettibon [sic] recently produced one of Manchester's most memorable shows of the year
