This paper examined practice-based research processes used within Metropolitan Workshop to develop a practical guide to community participation for housing and estate regeneration (2020-2022). Practice guidance was informed by the perspectives and lived-experiences of residents who had experienced estate regeneration, and were asked to critique a highly visual toolkit to be used by architects and others to support communities to interpret the RIBA Stages of Work and ultimately inform professional work.
