It Is Never What You Did or Did'nt Do

This exhibition of 365 metaphysical materiality brooches sees the artist pull together states of collecting and making that challenge the intent of magic on material thinking through the language of jewellery.
Each of the 365 talismanic brooches are linked to lived experiences as they question the values between maker, wearer, and viewer. As the title alludes, there is something in-between at play; between the heterogenous amassment of materials that are protected by metaphors, and the methodology by which they are made.
The works invites you to understand coded progressive stories that promise a witch-ness that speaks to personal interpretation. This way of thinking provides a lure, an anchor and a possibility for the transcription and material vitality to be conversational and transitional.
