This book evolved from finding a body of female photographers in the photography membership of IRIS, linked to Staffordshire University. The book was produced by Ffoto Gallery in Wales. Photographers include Rosy Martin, Karen Ingham, Helen Sear, Helen Chadwick, Martina Mullaney, Laura Letinsky, Sian Bonnell, Sue Fox & Lucinda Devlin. There are some excellent essays by women writers like Val Williams, Rosy Martin and Karen Ingham discussing such things as abject objects, visual interrogations of habitation, stilled lives and memory, mortality and the domestic space, looking the overlooked, vanitas and still life.
