This solo exhibition resulted from a month as artist-in-residence at Guldagergård , funded by Guldagergård and MMU. The motivation was to make explicit the narrative potential of ceramic objects to connect people to others building on 'dispersed creativity' (Leach, 2004), Marxist ideas of social use-value, 'bundling' (Keane, 2004) and 'materialising the self' (Tilley, 2009); creating visual reflections on the 'in between' ground that connects them all.
Working within the post-industrial genre of contemporary ceramics, alongside the ceramic work of Kjell Rylander and the writing of Jorunn Veiteberg, the research contributes an interactive and participant focused interpretation of the found ceramic object and its' potential to enable narrative creation.
