Contributing to practice-based PhD research activity, the exhibition explores a night of winter stargazing at Kielder Forest, located in Europe's second-largest International Dark Sky Park. Large-scale photographs were displayed between trees on Kielder's Skyspace walking trail, depicting constructed portraits of Kielder's dark-sky community, still life objects and landscapes informed by narrative inquiry conversations with Kielder Observatory's communities of staff, volunteers and visitors.

Three walking tours engaged Kielder Observatory trustees/staff/volunteers, Forestry England staff, art students and the public, as part of McGhie's theoretical framework, 'The Relational Contract of Photography'. 'Another Dimension' is part of McGhie's PhD research The work is supported by the National Productivity Investment Fund (AHRC), exploring how photography can create new ways to experience dark skies in northern England.
