The aim of the project was to develop effective and stimulating community engagement both within workshops and the commission of Rachel Kelly to design printed textiles for use within and inspired by Florence Mine.

Outcomes: Workshops which introduce the Florence Mine Community to the Mine Centre and to the process of creating textiles for a site specific purpose. The design outcomes will be used in the design and manufacture of ‘Florence Mine’ Surface printed products in collaboration with Grizedale Arts as an additional and ongoing outcome of the project.
