The Study UK Alumni Awards were set up in 2014 to recognise the outstanding achievements made by UK alumni who are now creatives, business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders across the globe, and to demonstrate how a UK higher education contributes to future success.

He was featured in New American Paintings in 2025 and has exhibited in solo exhibitions, including the upcoming show at Amos Eno Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2027), and the exhibition at Artspace, Richmond, Virginia (2025). He has participated in artist residencies, including a 10-week residency at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, PA (2018), and the Fondazione Per L’Arte Residency Fellowship in Rome, Italy (2016) and scholarship to Dresden Academy of Art, Dresden, Germany (2012-13).

Beda said: “Studying at the Manchester School of Art in the UK was transformative. It provided me with a dynamic environment that nurtured creativity and critical thinking. The focus on independent exploration and access to exceptional mentors and resources shaped my painting practice and prepared me to engage meaningfully with the global art community.

“Being named a finalist for the Culture and Creativity Study UK Alumni Award 2025 acknowledges my time at Manchester School of Art and my decision to follow studio practice in the USA. This recognition highlights my dedication to engage with art.”
