Foundation alumni return to share creative journeys with current students

'Alumni Lecture Series' launches with a diverse line-up of speakers
Alumni from Manchester School of Art’s Foundation Diploma in Art and Design course are set to return to the School to share their creative journeys, expertise and latest projects with current students on the course as part of a ‘Alumni Lecture Series’.
To reflect that students from the Foundation Diploma, progress onto a wide spectrum of courses with fields such as fine art, graphic design, illustration, fashion, textiles and three dimensional design, the alumni speakers are likewise from a variety of sectors.
Previous Alumni Lecture Series speakers include sculptor and performance artist Amy Thomas, textiles and embroidery designer Louise Gardiner, fashion designer Nabil El Nayal and filmmaker, animator and art director Andy Soup.
This year, the diverse line-up of speakers features Rebecca Stant, who is working on the ready-to-wear pre-collection at the fashion house Céline, and fillmaker Colin O’Toole, whose work has been screened at institutions such as The Louvre and the V&A.
