MANCHESTER will soon be hosting its biggest annual art exhibition here at MMU.

Each June the Faculty of Art and Design at MMU welcomes 10,000 visitors to its annual show where final-year students showcase their work to the public.

MMU students are among the most innovative in the UK and regularly win national prizes for their work. Past winners and graduates have moved on to become renowned artists such as Peter Saville, Thomas Heatherwick, Martin Parr and Sam Taylor-Wood.

The free nine-day exhibition will be displaying work from hundreds of students studying photography, architecture, fashion, graphic design, video and animation, fine art, jewellery, textiles and much more.

Industry contacts

Landscape architecture graduate Florence Moon, 21, said: “The exhibition is an opportunity to show all the work we have put in over the duration of the course. It is also great for talking with people who are already in the industry.”

The show will be running at All Saints Campus on Oxford Road, 10am-6pm weekdays and 10am-4pm at weekends from Saturday 20th June to Sunday, 28th June. All shows are free and open to the public. The Private View will be on Friday, 19th June.

The Schools Days will be Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June.
