MMU bring London catwalk to Manchester
Fresh from success at London Graduate Fashion Week (June 5-7), MMU’s fashion course students parade their catwalk creations in Manchester city centre on Wednesday.
Gala Prize runner-up Liam Jackson, from Denton, and colleagues show to Manchester’s fashionistas at Manchester Town Hall at 4.30pm and again at 7.30pm on June 14.
MMU took 25 undergraduates to London this year and their final-year designs are strong and, many agree, ready for the high street marketplace.
They are joined by students from Hollings (Clothing Design Technology) who regularly win international prizes for their clothes.
A month after his Installation at the Town Hall, Vice-Chancellor Professor John Brooks is back at the historic setting of the Great Hall for the dazzling showcase, together with university governors and key city partners, including representatives from the city’s ‘creative industries’.
