Digital fabrication – a tool for socially engaged practice
Working with socially isolated and displaced residents from local communities in the Liverpool City Region, this component of research centres upon co-designed objects which utilise digitally cut plywood and other processes of artisan personalisation. The process will document a cultural reflection post-pandemic and build upon the ‘Newcomers’ project developed with young people in Madrid in 2017. Linking up with We Make Places’ ‘The Life of Ply’ brand this will explore outlets for product development through these artefacts.
