Ray Grewal is an award-winning writer who has worked across film, theatre, TV and radio. He has also worked as a Production and Development Executive at Creative England on a slate of short films and features, a script editor at the BBC in various departments and he mentors film makers for the BFI and Ffilm Cymru.

As an educator, he has run writing workshops at the ShortFLIX event in Birmingham, for Creative England in Manchester, for the BFI Northern Film Hub in Leeds and for Ffilm Cymru in Cardiff. He has lectured in screenwriting at Regent’s University, Bournemouth University, the London Film Academy, the MetFilm School and he was a script consultant at the London Film School.

He received his PGCHE from Regent’s University, his MA in theatre from Goldsmith’s College and his BA in filmmaking specialising in screenwriting from the University of Northumbria. He is programme leader for MA Performance (Writing) at Central Saint Martins (UAL).
